Establishment of the Cultural Heritage Management Division on April 1, 2022
On April 1, 2022, the Okayama University Archaeological Research Center was integrated into the Research Institute for the Dynamics of Civilizations and reestablished as the Cultural Heritage Management Division. In addition to continuing its implementation of archaeological excavation of sites within Okayama University and management of unearthed cultural properties, it aims to pursue multidisciplinary research bridging the humanities and sciences in order to elucidate the history of the Okayama region, utilize the results of its research to give back to the community, and promote cooperation with local society.
